GREASE TRAP

Grease traps are systems designed to hold grease. Grease from catering and food production cause huge issues in waste water systems. Grease traps are there to trap the grease and let clarified effluent pass through into the waste water system.

Different types of grease separate at different temperatures. It is therefore important that traps have sufficient capacity to allow the grease to separate from the influent, thus allowing clarified effluent to be passed through. If the capacity is inappropriate, the grease will not separate and therefore the majority of the grease will pass through as part of the water.
